Early Childhood 教育 (AAS Degree)

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. design and implement developmentally, 在文化上, and linguistically appropriate learning experiences that promote each child’s growth and development in the following domains: social-emotional, 物理, 认知, and language and literacy;
2. create and maintain a safe, 有爱心的, 包容, and healthy learning environment according to best practices and local, 状态, and national standards;
3. assess children’s learning and development through observation and documentation, using guidelines established by the profession;
4. establish 在文化上 responsive relationships with families, communities and professional colleagues;
5. practice ethical and professional standards and behavior;
6. create a literacy-rich environment;
7. provide appropriate accommodations for students with exceptionalities and special needs;
8. understand and apply early childhood education theories.
